One huge difference she was thinking about recently, while driving her Fiat 500, is the traffic management in Britain. The mum-of-one said: "In the UK if you get in an automobile accident you don't have to call the police. If it's just like a small little accident we would call a 'fender bender' in the states, here you just exchange the insurance details among yourself, you don't call the police.

"The traffic is too bad here, OK, you can't be calling police out to stop traffic and all that jazz. You pull over on the road, leave the scene of the accident, pull somewhere out of the way and handle things among yourselves."

She added: "Whereas if you did that in the States, that would look shady as hell. And your insurance company is likely not going to pay if there's no police report. Yeah, it looks shady.

Hundreds of people commented and @katie said: "The police have better things to do." @KrisMc added: "Unless someone is seriously hurt or there's a road blockage, even if you do call, the police aren't coming out."
