Shoppers expecting parcels delivered by Yodel should prepare deliveries to take up to "a couple of extra days" due to "small delays" at its depots around the country.
People living in the North East are among those affected as Yodel Depots in Gateshead and Stockton have been hit by the delays caused by increased demand..
Yodel says: "As we head into the busy Christmas period, it may take us a couple of extra days to get your parcels to you in a few areas across the country."

Yodel suggests customers track their deliveries using the Yodel Parcel Tracker.
A banner warning on Yodel's website adds: "Our teams are currently delivering a higher-than-normal number of parcels across the country and are currently experiencing delays in a number of areas across the country."
Yodel's depots in Gateshead and Stockton are among those experiencing the delays. Yodel says the following postcodes in and near to the North East can expect delays. They include Newcastle, Northumberland, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Sunderland and County Durham.
Yodel says: "Below are the postcodes where we are experiencing some small delays. Our teams are working really hard to deliver all of your parcels to you."
