Following waves of negativity concerning disc versions of GTA 6, Rockstar has officially confirmed that yes, actual discs will be available, but not leading up to the release. So-called physical boxes are going to contain codes only, with real discs to start releasing sometime after the game launches.
As VICE writes, those eager to purchase GTA 6 started flooding Rockstar Support with inquiries regarding physical disc copies of the game, with the company issuing responses today confirming that discs are, indeed, going to come out at some point. “You will be able to acquire a physical copy during the following months,” implying we’ll probably only be able to purchase GTA 6 discs after the actual launch.
