Yemen's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak held talks with the US Acting-Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Kathy Westly in Riyadh on Sunday.
Discussions focused on bilateral relations and ways to bolster them in all fields. They also discussed the Houthi militia's ongoing military escalation.
The Yemeni FM accused the Iranian regime of exacerbating the Yemeni conflict and prolonging the war.
He warned of the dangerous consequences of the militia's increasing attacks on the civil facilities and civilians in Yemen and on neighboring countries.
Bin Mubarak also highlighted the economic challenges facing the Yemeni government.
For her part, Westly expressed her country's support for the efforts exerted by Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen Hans Grundberg to reach a political settlement to the conflict in Yemen.
She further stressed US's support for the legitimate Yemeni government, Yemen's unity, security and stability.
