Yellow weather warning issued for parts of Scotland

A YELLOW weather warning has been issued for parts of Scotland.

The warning is in place for much of southern, central and northern Scotland with the Met Office saying there is a “small chance some communities will become cut off by flooded roads”.

It is in place from 4pm on Monday evening until 6am on Tuesday morning.

The Met Office website’s states there is a “small chance of disruption from heavy rain during Monday night”.

This could lead to “difficult driving conditions” and “some road closures” while some public transport services may be delayed.

The website added: “There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.”
