The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning across Leeds and wider Yorkshire, warning of snow and ice over the coming days.
The warning will come into place at 6pm today (Monday, December 26) and warns of icy patches on roads leading to a greater risk of accident and injury. The weather warning will stay in place until 10am on Tuesday (December 27).
There is also forecast some patchy snow on higher parts, both due to wintry showers and cold rain on early Tuesday morning. Difficult driving conditions can be expected.

The Met Office says: "A mainly dry and bright, but cold Boxing Day morning with a few wintry showers, largely confined to the Pennines. Showers becoming increasingly frequent and widespread this afternoon, with some hill snow. Feeling chilly in brisk winds. Maximum temperature 6 °C."
Outlook for Tuesday:
Cloud, strong winds and outbreaks of rain spreading northeast during the day, preceded by some hill snow. Rain easing a little towards the end of the afternoon. Turning milder. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
What to expect during the warning:
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths leading to a greater chance of injuries or accidents
- Patchy snow on higher routes, both from wintry showers this evening, and also on leading edge of rain early on Tuesday, making for somewhat difficult driving conditions
