Yazmin Oukhellou has spoken how she felt her "pain would never end" after the shock of losing her on-off boyfriend Jake McLean in a horror car crash in Turkey in July.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the TOWIE star, 28, says she is working through her grief and trauma after the fateful night, which saw their hired Mercedes car plunge 30ft into a ditch, leaving 33-year-old Jake dead and Yaz seriously injured.
Highlighting the importance of seeking professional help, Yaz said she had to rely on her parents for support in the weeks that followed.
Sharing a video of a woman crying "I can't do this anymore" in a voiceover, Yaz wrote: "Trust me when I say I've been here. I've felt this pain. I thought it would never end. I still have days where I feel so low.
'But I know that everything is temporary. I've realised now the importance of good friends and family.
'I've come away to spend quality time with my parents because God showed me how quickly life could be taken and how much I need to appreciate my second chance.
'If you feel like this now and you don't have a good support network PLEASE speak to someone. And please know that even though it hurts so bad right now, this is just a feeling and feelings do NOT last.
'You WILL get through this and you WILL be stronger and better for it. Love Yaz."
Jake tragically died at the scene on Sunday July 3 while Yazmin had to break her arm to free herself from the crumpled vehicle and call for help.
She was later taken to hospital where she needed surgery for her injuries.
The star didn't attend the businessman's funeral in Essex last month, which saw James Argent and Lauren Goodger attend, with reports she was banned by his family.
She took to Instagram on the evening to pay tribute.
She wrote: "I have been taking some time away from social media to fully focus on my mental and physical recovery. I needed this time away to work on healing and processing everything as best as I can.
"This has taught me that life is so short and we must cherish our loved ones as much as possible.
"I am so grateful for our memories and the special time that Jake and I shared. I’ve not stopped thinking about him and I’ll miss him always. He will forever hold a special place in my heart.
"I want to thank everyone for their support and lovely messages. I truly appreciate each and every single one of you.
"Love Yaz."
