Newcastle United supremo Yasir Al-Rumayyan was in attendance for the Magpies' home encounter with Crystal Palace. The club's chairman was back on Tyneside after being in the stands in January for the home clash with Cambridge United.
Since then Newcastle have picked up in the Premier League and turned things around after rising from the relegation zone to mid-table solidity.
Al-Rumayyan is regarded as one of the most important people in Saudi Arabia outside of the Royal Family. He also manages the Public Investment Fund.
The chairman of Saudi Aramco met managerial staff before the meeting with Palace. On arrival on Tyneside the new chairman said: "I also wanted to give you an understanding of what you can expect from us as owners and what our plans are for your club at this stage.
"Most importantly, you can expect ambition. Like you, we want to create a consistently successful team. We’re here to build long-term success for the club."
