Yankees Reliever Obliterates Dugout Fan After Rough Outing vs. Angels

The Yankees were swept by the Angels on Wednesday for the first time since 2009. It’s safe to say morale in the dugout isn’t high for New York, evidenced by reliever Tommy Kahnle’s meltdown following his outing in Anaheim.

Kahnle needed 29 pitches to get out of the eighth inning, surrendering one run in the process, and when he got back to the dugout, he was incensed.

In need of something to release his frustration, Kahnle hurled his glove at the cooling fan located in the corner of the dugout before proceeding to stomp on it with his cleats.

Aaron Judge, who is out with an injury, could be seen watching uncomfortably as Kahnle ended the service of the fan.

The Yankees have lost four of their last five games and nine of their last 11, falling to 50–47 on the year. Their rough spell in July has seen them slip into last place in the AL East.
