Yami Gautam is playing a crime journalist in the OTT film LOST. It's the first time in her career that Yami is playing a journalist. Speaking about her tryst with a journalist character, Yami reveals, "I don't think I have played a journalist in my life but even if I had, I would have always focusssed on how can it be different from the existing roles I have essayed."
Yami feels there's more than one way of portraying any character. Talking specifically about portraying professionals as an actor, she says, "In life there might be so many journalists or so many people from different professions. There is so much diversity in professions. We are all different. Acting is a craft which allows you to experience the beauty of these multiple professions. This is why I feel this character is very different from my previous ones."
