'XO, Kitty' Season 3: Everything We Know

Anna cathcart as kitty and lana condor as lara jean holding hands as they walk down a lush path full of greenery and flowers in xo kitty season 3.

Despite Kitty Song Covey's hopes in Netflix's teen rom-com series XO, Kitty, she's still a "chaos queen." Luckily for fans, this means there are many more hijinks, love triangles, and swooning in store from the To All the Boys... spinoff set in Seoul, South Korea. Season 2 saw the youngest Song Covey sister (played by Anna Cathcart) deal with multiple love interests (both male and female), a search for estranged relatives, an intricate revenge plot, and even a K-pop showcase. By the end, Kitty reunites with her family, has learned more about her sexuality, and secured another yearlong scholarship to return to KISS. But still, we're left wondering whether we'll see the resolution of that new Kitty and Min Ho cliffhanger? Below, read what we know about XO, Kitty season 3 so far.

Has 'XO, Kitty' been renewed for season 3?

Time to buy a ticket to Seoul! Netflix has confirmed that XO, Kitty will return for a third season. The streamer dropped the good news on Valentine's Day 2025, less than a month after season 2's release on January 16. Netflix shared a video on Instagram to coincide with the announcement. In the clip, Cathcart receives the script for the first episode of season 3 and reads the love poem, Roses are red/violets are blue/there’s a third season of XO, Kitty/in store for you!"“I’m so excited to head back to Seoul for another season with our incredible cast and crew," season 2 showrunner Jessica O’Toole told Tudum. "I know we left fans on a cliffhanger at the end of season 2, but I can promise season 3 will be worth the wait, including our first summer episode—not to mention plenty of romance, friendship, adventure...and kissing. Lots of kissing."

When will 'XO, Kitty' season 3 come out?

Spring is just around the corner—and so is the return of XO, Kitty! In mid-February, Netflix announced via a press release that the eight-episode season 3 of XO, Kitty will premiere on April 2, 2026. The wait for this season of Netflix original was much shorter than the time between seasons 1 and 2. In mid-July 2025, Deadline reported that the series had wrapped production on the forthcoming episodes. The outlet also shared that a new showrunner is on board: Valentina Garza will take over for Jessica O'Toole. She was a writer on seasons 2 and 3 and promoted to showrunner when filming began, per Deadline. (It's unclear why O'Toole is no longer leading the series.) Thankfully, it sounds like production went swimmingly, and we'll be back at KISS in no time.

Who in the 'XO, Kitty' cast will return for season 3?

The entire main cast of XO, Kitty will return, including Anna Cathcart (Kitty), Minyeong Choi (Dae), Gia Kim (Yuri), Sang Heon Lee (Min Ho), Anthony Keyvan (Q), Regan Aliyah (Juliana), Peter Thurnwald (Alex), Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison), Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison), Han Bi Ryu (Eunice), Sunny Oh (Mihee), and Michael K. Lee (Professor Lee). Season 2 newcomers Sasha Bhasin (Praveena), Joshua Lee (Jin), Philippe Lee (Mr. Moon), and Hojo Shin (Jiwon) (upped to a series regular) will also come back for more episodes.Audrey Huynh, who played villain Stella (a.k.a. Esther), was notably not included among the official season 3 cast, as reported by Deadline. Min Ho's brother (played by real-life K-pop star Peniel) also wasn't on the cast list, so it's likely that those two will not be back.

And of course, with every season of XO, Kitty, we remain hopeful that alums from the To All the Boys... cast will make an appearance. After season 2 saw cameos from Noah Centineo (Peter Kavinsky) and Janel Parrish (Margot Song Covey), fans have especially been clamoring that Lana Condor (Lara Jean Song Covey) would pop up in season 3—and as it turns out, Netflix has answered our wish!

In early March, the streamer teased that Condor will reprise her role as Kitty's sister. As fans very well remember, Lara Jean's love letter mishap from the To All the Boys... series was instigated by Kitty, and ended up inspiring her niche for matchmaking.Netflix shared a video on social media to announce the news. In the clip, Sang Heon Lee walks through the set and says, "Covey?" as both Condor and Cathcart, sitting in their character chairs, whip their heads around. "Yes?" says Condor. It's pretty adorable, and if it's any indication of how sweet it's going to be to see these sisters reunite on screen, we're in for a delightful reunion.

Condor has also spoken about how thrilled she is to reunite with the To All the Boys... family. While speaking to Tudum, she shared a statement about getting to be a part of season 3: "It’s such a joy to be able to come back and see Anna. I think she did an amazing job creating the XO, Kitty world. It’s such a dream to be able to work with her again. I feel really excited and happy and honored I get to be back."

Are there any new cast members in 'XO, Kitty' season 3?

You bet! Deadline revealed that three names have joined the season 3 ensemble: Jamaican actor Sule Thelwell, Korean actress Soy Kim, and Korean-American writer/actor Christine Hwang. Kim and Hwang are said to be playing Yisoo and Gigi, though character details are left under wraps. Fans may be excited to know that Thelwell is joining as Marius. Though he has yet to appear on screen, viewers may remember that's the name of Q's former roommate, with whom he had a fling. We can't wait to see what unfolds next!

What will happen on 'XO, Kitty' season 3?

XO, Kitty's season 2 finale somehow ends on a cliffhanger bigger than Min Ho's airplane love confession. No, Min Ho and Kitty technically don't end up together by the end of season 2, as Kitty chickens out on sharing her feelings. But she does ask if she can go on tour with him and his brother Joon Ho for the summer, and he says yes! Netflix's season 3 announcement confirms that the new episodes will at least partially follow "summer of love" for Kitty Song Covey and her friends." We'll have to see whether Kitty and Min Ho on tour will bring a long-awaited romance or just more K-pop cameos. (Min Ho probably has some healing to do after getting scammed by Stella.)Leading up to the release date, Netflix also unveiled an official synopsis, revealing the season will expand into the school year. "Kitty Song Covey returns for her final year at KISS with her perfect senior year mapped out," the synopsis reads. "She’s going to make meaningful memories with her friends, grow closer to her relatives in Korea, and make big decisions about her future. And she’s going to define her relationship with Min Ho. For real this time. But when surprise revelations throw her plans, and relationships, off course, Kitty will have to learn to embrace the unexpected."

Is there a trailer for 'XO, Kitty' season 3?

Yes! As if we weren't already eager enough to see what's next in the will-they-won't-they between Kitty and Min Ho, now we're absolutely dying to know what comes between these two. The trailer, which Netflix dropped in early March, shows Kitty gearing up for senior year, including making a "Senior Sunset List" about all of the things she hopes to accomplish, like figuring out where she wants to go to college and DTR-ing with Min Ho. You know, important stuff! The clip shows things not necessarily boding well for our youngest Covey Song girl—so much so that she calls her sister Lara Jean when she's stuck in her feelings and needs advice. Being a great big sis, LJ books a flight to come to her aid, which is how their long-awaited reunion is set to play out. It looks like LJ is going to offer some solid insights and, as previewed in the clip, help Kitty to get out of her shell even more so and focus on her own joy. "Whatever happens with Min Ho, we can’t just stop living our lives," Condor says in character in a voice-over. "Look at everything you’ve done to make everyone else shine. You deserve to shine too." We're looking forward to seeing Kitty step into her shine (and figure out the romantic drama on her hands!) very soon.
