The not-E3 season keeps on booming. By that, I mean shows are popping up every day, more than any one human can keep track of without going bananas. I am feeling a little wacky already.
On Monday, Microsoft announced the Xbox Games Showcase Extended is happening on June 14, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. PDT // 1:00 P.M. EDT // 5:00 P.M. GMT. Wow, that is an awkward title. The Xbox Wire post states it’ll be roughly 90 minutes long and will feature deep dives into games initially shown off during the massive Xbox and Bethesda showcase that’s going down days before.
Microsoft didn’t confirm what any of the games might be, but here’s hoping that Starfield or Hellblade will show up. Heck, that Goldeneye 007 remaster would be an excellent pick for this.
Your guess is as good as ours, though. There’s no telling what’ll be at the second show until the first happens. It’s nice knowing that Microsoft will presumably show the games off for real rather than rely entirely on pre-rendered CGI trailers. Those get tiring after a while.
GLHF will have extensive coverage of these showcases and Summer Game Fest 2022 as everything drops in the coming weeks. So keep your eyes locked on this space.
