Microsoft has announced the first wave of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in August 2026, with the lineup led by the day-one launch of Beast of Reincarnation, a new action RPG from Pokémon developer Game Freak.
Set in a post-apocalyptic version of futuristic Japan, the game follows a young woman and her canine companion as they battle robot-like golems and corrupted creatures in an effort to save the world. The title will be available on Cloud, Xbox Series X, Handheld and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers from launch.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also get access to the open beta for Gears of War: E-Day during August.

Several titles will leave the service on August 15, giving subscribers a limited window to finish them. The departing games include:

- Essential: $9.99 per month with access to more than 50 games.

- PC Game Pass: $13.99 per month, offering a library of more than 300 games for PC players.
The August lineup spans action RPGs, simulation games, strategy titles and sports games, with multiple day-one releases continuing Microsoft's push to bring new games to subscribers on launch day.
