WWE star Roman Reigns admits Brock Lesnar is "very tough to work with"

WWE champion Roman Reigns has revealed why working with "alpha male" Brock Lesnar puts him in danger inside a ring.

The two wrestling giants have put on a number of epic showdowns, with 'The Tribal Chief' having defeated Lesnar at Wrestlemania 38 this year. With the win, Reigns became the first superstar in history to hold both the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship simultaneously.

Then at Summerslam, the pair battles again in a brutal Last Man Standing match, with Reigns again prevailing after help from cousins Jey and Jimmy Uso. But now, the 37-year-old has lifted the lid on the physicality of 'The Beast Incarnate'.

“Me and Brock have been at a bunch of huge shows together,” Reigns told Logan Paul, on his Impaulsive podcast. "I would definitely say he’s been, thus far, my biggest rival.

"F****** Brock Lesnar, man, he picks you up and throws you on your head — there’s nothing nice about that. It’s very tough to work with a human being like that - that some call him, like, the alpha male of our species. And it’s true, he really is what he is."

Lesnar, 45, is a former UFC Heavyweight champion, a factor which Reigns warned could result in a wrestling opponent being injured: "I mean, he’s a great businessman, but at the same time he has a legitimate background of MMA that when you get in the ring, there has to be some kind of protection of that legitimacy," he continued.

"We can’t just put him in there with anybody, but at the same time, when you get in there with him, you kind of understand it’s gonna be a bit of a ride, but there’s gonna be a lot of eyeballs on it. So that always makes it better."

The irony of the six-time champion sitting down with Paul, is that the pair will now face off at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia in November. The YouTuber impressed on a recent short-term programme with The Miz, securing himself a longer deal with WW E.

Reigns recently electrified fans in the successful Clash of the Castle event in Cardiff, the first wrestling PPV event in the UK since Summerslam 1992. The man he beat in the main event, Drew McIntyre, has backed Britain to hold more major wrestling events in the near future.
