WWE fans are hyped as The Scottish Warrior has officially returned. It appears Drew McIntyre's departure from WWE was only temporary. During the latest episode of SmackDown on June 21, 2024, held at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, CM Punk's hometown, Punk made a surprise appearance and shared his thoughts on Drew McIntyre.

Following this, The Wise Paul Heyman entered the ring and issued a warning about The Bloodline. Soon after, Punk found himself surrounded by The Bloodline. However, Cody Rhodes then arrived with two baseball bats, handing one to Punk, causing The Bloodline to retreat from the ring. Though the situation with The Bloodline was defused, what happened next shocked the entire arena.
