NEW DELHI: After surrendering its share of power from central power stations, including Dadri-II, in 2015, the Delhi government "woke up" only after the reallocation to Haryana, the power ministry said on Saturday.
Tracing the chronology of events leading to the reallotment of Delhi's quota of power from Dadri-II station, the ministry said Delhi power minister Satyendar Jain had through a July 2015 letter permanently surrendered quotas from 11 central power stations, including Dadri-II. The ministry thereafter wrote to all states five times between November 2017 and February 2019, saying the surrendered quota was available for reallocation.
