Wrexham co-owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have revealed that young defender Max Cleworth was not allowed into every venue the squad visited during their post-season trip to Las Vegas.
The National League champions headed to the United States soon after sealing promotion to the English Football League, as promised and paid for by McElhenney and Reynolds. Before jetting off, they toured the Welsh city in an open top bus with their well-earned league title trophy.
After touching down Stateside, they saw the sights in Vegas, including visiting the Hakkasan Nightclub and the city's BrewDog bar. During their four-day holiday, the players also relaxed poolside at the MGM Grand and went clubbing, notably with DJ James Hype, elsewhere on the infamous strip.
However, that was not exactly the experience of every member of the travelling party. Asked on the Fearless in Devotion podcast about who the unluckiest player was, McElhenney and Reynolds shared why it was young Cleworth.
"I did not gamble with any of the gentlemen," McElhenney replied. "When they went into a casino, mummy and daddy (McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson, McElhenney's wife) took their leave." Interjecting, Reynolds added: "Wasn't it Max Cleworth who wasn't old enough to enjoy the best bits of Vegas?"
McElhenney replied: "Yeah, sometimes he wasn't allowed into places, and some of the guys would stay with him, and they'd find other things to do." Reynolds continued: "He entered Vegas a boy, and he left a man."

Cleworth, 20, only turns 21 this summer. The defender, who joined the Welsh club at 12, made 24 appearances during the team's promotion-winning season but was too young to celebrate fully because of Nevada law.
In the desert state, you must have turned 21 to gamble or consume alcoholic beverages. Those under 21 are minors in the eyes of the state, and being caught gambling carries up to a six-month sentence in county jail, plus the possibility of a $1,000 fine.
Sensibly, then, some players stayed behind to keep him company with more tame activities than their peers were. Cleworth will have his fingers crossed that another trip follows next summer when he is of age to celebrate restriction free.
A return trip to Vegas would likely require Wrexham to make it back-to-back promotions from the National League to League One. In aid of that aspiration, the club have already begun reshaping their squad to play in League Two next season.
A total of 11 players are leaving from around the fringes of their promotion-winning squad, and others have extended their stays. Star striker Paul Mullin, goalkeeper Mark Howard and wing-back Anthony Forde have signed new one-year extensions after being pivotal parts of the dressing room.
The club have also announced that they will discuss with Ben Foster to ascertain whether the veteran goalkeeper is willing to play. The 40-year-old un-retired in March to help his former club secure promotion.
