A terminally ill Wrexham fan whose final wish was to meet Ryan Reynolds has passed away at the age of 45.
Jay Fear from Southampton was re-diagnosed with terminal appendix cancer in January despite being given the all-clear last year.
As part of his final wish, he met the Hollywood star and co-owner of the football club last April as Wrexham won promotion to the football league.
At the time, Mr Fear said the experience was for his family whom he hopes will remember it adding: “I just hope this is a core memory that they’ll never forget.”
Commenting on the tragic news, the US actor said: “So grateful to have spent time with Jay Fear.
So grateful to have spent time with Jay Fear. He didn’t have much of it left and the fact he shared that time so freely with others is something I’ll never take for granted and never forget. This man lived.

The meeting was organised by the charity, Bucket List Wishes and saw Mr Fear receive the glove Reynolds wore in Deadpool.
