Rep Jim Jordan, the rightwing bomb-thrower whom former Speaker John Boehner, a fellow Ohioan, called a “legislative terrorist”, is out as the GOP nominee for speaker.
Mr Jordan lost an internal ballot by a large margin. According to Rep Kat Cammack, he lost by 112 votes to 86.
