Wrestlers find innovative ways to keep protest relevant; create twitter page, launch missed call campaign

NEW DELHI: The protesting wrestlers, led by Olympians Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik, have been coming up with innovative campaigns to keep their ongoing agitation against Wrestling Federation of India’s (WFI) sidelined president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh relevant.

On Monday, the wrestlers launched a missed call campaign and created an official twitter page titled ‘Wrestlers Protest India’ urging the fellow Indians to extend their support. The wrestlers have also planned to make their protest ‘global’ by approaching Olympic medallists and Olympians from other countries to write letters endorsing their fight for justice against Singh’s alleged sexual misconduct with seven female grapplers, including a minor.
