WPI inflation quickens to 9.87% in June from 9.68% in May

India's wholesale inflation quickened to 9.87% in June from 9.68% in May, exceeding economists' expectations of a 9.15% year-on-year rise, according to official data released by the commerce and industry ministry on Tuesday.

The June print was above economists' expectations of a 9.15% year-on-year increase, according to a Reuters poll.
