Would TJ Warren or Lamar Stevens make more sense for the Boston Celtics to sign to one of their open roster spots? What are the pros and cons of bringing on each player and how could they fit into the team’s plans for the 2023-24 season and beyond?
On one hand, Warren is a considerably more experienced player who has a baseline of offense to offer the Celtics as a seasoned bench player, but he also has a fairly serious injury history on a team increasingly populated by players with similar issues. On the other hand, Stevens is a younger player who does not have much in the way of offensive game that would primarily add value to the roster on the other end of the court.
The host of the “Locked On Celtics” podcast John Karalis weighed in on which of the two forwards would be the better fit in his estimation.
