NAVI MUMBAI: So rare are Tests in the landscape of women’s cricket, that Smriti Mandhana wasn’t even sure when was the last time India played a Test at home, before she was reminded that it was in November 2014, India beating South Africa at Manas Gangotri Stadium in Mysuru.
Having featured in that game, the Mumbai-born Mandhana will play just her second Test at home, after a long, long gap of nine years and one month, when India play England in the on-off Test at the DY Patil Stadium from Thursday.
