"Worried" residents have spoken out after another drugs raid was carried out on their road. Police uncovered a cannabis operation worth an estimated £50,000 after executing a warrant in Beresford Street, Mansfield.
The warrant was carried out by Operation Reacher teams at Nottinghamshire Police on Tuesday, March 22. Police visited the property and found the plants, worth tens of thousands of pounds. Now, residents on the road have spoken about their concerns following the drugs bust.
Elaine Smith, 62, said: "Well we were disrupted by it the first time it happened, that was a couple of months ago at the same house, when police showed up at 4am. And then the second one a couple of weeks ago was during the day but I saw the whole thing.
"There isn't any trouble around here really except for that - but it's very worrying. I know that it happens everywhere, especially in Mansfield, but it's not good when it happens on the other side of the street."

Tony Marrow, 43, said: "There was quite a lot of noise when police showed up. It's a bit sad and a bit embarrassing that this all happens on our street because before this it was a quiet neighbourhood.
"The only stresses we had before were sometimes kids being too loud when they're out on their bikes. Hopefully this is the end of it and I think it will be. Nothing has happened since."
One resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "My partner was getting up for work and was questioned about why he was out so early when it happened. This was around 4am.
"It's not been much of a concern or anything but we saw it all happen the first time when the police showed up."
