Missing Scot traced safe and well after worried brother issues desperate plea

A missing Scots man has been found safe and well after a desperate search was launched for him.

Michael Shaun Carle was reported missing from Angus and was last seen around 11.30pm on Tuesday in the West Abbey Street area of Arbroath.

His worried brother issued a desperate plea for help after revealing a coastguard and RNLI search found nothing.

There had been no contact from Michael since he went missing and no reported sightings of him.

But Police Scotland have now confirmed that Michael has been found as they thanked the public for their assistance.

We previously told how lifeboats joined the search for the 25-year-old.

His brother Daniel McAllister posted on Twitter before he was traced this morning, saying Michael's last phone location was at Victoria Park and the start of the cliffs.

He urged anyone with information, no matter how small, to get in touch.

Daniel tweeted: "There has still been no contact from Michael or any sightings.

"His last location from his phone was the Vicki Park/start of the cliffs. Coastguard and RNLI have sweeped the area and nothing.

"We will keep looking, if anyone knows anything or even a rumour please get in touch!"
