Scottish strongman Tom Stoltman won't be going down in the history books for his hilarious attempt to take on the world's hottest chlili pepper.
He may have been crowned the World's Strongest Man for the second year in a row in May, but the Invergordon star met his match in London at the weekend in a man vs food challenge when he was reduced to tears by the capsicum.
Tom, 28, lined up to chow down for the Fire in the Hole spicy challenge, and was tasked to eat four double breasted buffalo chicken wings with Naga Ghost chilli sauce.
Made from the Naga Ghost chilli pepper, it's considered 170 times hotter than Tabasco and was named spiciest in the world by the Guinness World Records in 2007.
So when one record-breaker met another, there was only space for one winner, and it wasn't Tom, this time.
In hilarious footage shared on his TikTok page, Tom showed his xxx followers what he went through in the London restaurant which is hosting the challenge for customers.
The dangerous dish was brought out in dramatic fashion by one of the waiting staff, who gave Tom and two pals an inkling into what they were about to experience when he said: "Who dares try my chicken? Do you think you can handle it?"
An honest and nervous looking Tom replied: "No!" before being told he needed to sign a waiver ahead of the contest.
He then delved into the plate in front of him, cue much retching, gagging and swearing while those looking on shouted words of encouragement.
Brave Tom said during the challenge: "No danger" before stating "I'm finished, I'm no eating anymore."
A pal shouted: "Come on, Tommy!" but Tom's mind was made up and he said he was done with the competition.
After throwing the towel in, Tom's pal, who was still trying, could be seen rocking back and forward.
Tom then said: "Horrible people" before saying "I'm no eating anymore" then he threw up into a paper bag and stuck his head under a cold tap.
Tom made history last year when he became the first ever Scot to win the World’s Strongest Man/
He took home the international prize once again after defeating Ukraine’s Oleskii Novikov in the final two events in Sacramento, California.
Tom’s brother Luke, whose nickname is The Highland Oak, finished seventh in the competition.
His win this year means that he is now only the 10th competitor to win the World’s Strongest Man competition twice.
So we don't think he'll be too worried about his defeat at the hands of the world's spiciest pepper.
Good effort, Tom! You're a braver man than most!
