World's oldest person Kane Tanaka dies at the age of 119 in Japan

The world's oldest person has died aged 119 years old.

Kane Tanaka, from Japan, was born on January 2, 1903 - the year of the Wright Brothers' first controlled flight of their motor-driven airplane.

She was confirmed by Guinness World Records as the oldest living person in 2019.
