World's largest Sean Connery-era James Bond poster collection up for sale

James Bond fans with deep pockets will be in 00-heaven over this incredible auction.

The world’s biggest collection of original posters from the Sean Connery -era spy flicks are going under the hammer.

But you’ll need the riches of Goldfinger to get your hands on the haul, set to total almost £500,000.

Movie memorabilia firm Propstore has 81 vintage 007 prints for sale.

Hot picks include a 1962 Dr No image of Connery making his Bond debut, due to fetch up to £20,000.

Meanwhile, a limited edition 1963 From Russia with Love poster could pull in £16,000 and a Thunderball version featuring four Bond girls has an estimate of up to £8,000.

Online bidding began on Thursday and will continue until March 2.

The sale also features rare Disney finds including a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs original 1937 print, tipped to go for £2,000.

And Star Wars fans can land a rare set of posters signed by Obi-Wan Kenobi legend Sir Alec Guinness.

The sale comes after vintage Spider-Man merchandise fetched more than £11million at auction in California last year.

Propstore’s poster expert Mark Hochman said of the Bond sale in London: “This is some of the best content we have ever offered.”

Screen icon Connery – who died in 2020, aged 90 – was the first actor to play Bond in the films adapted from Ian Fleming’s hit novels.

He made seven in total and introduced the catchphrase “Bond...James Bond” but in later life he confessed in an interview he ended up “hating” the character.
