World's first ever saliva-based pregnancy test to hit shelves next year

The world's first saliva-based pregnancy test is set to arrive in shops across Europe, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and Israel at the beginning of 2023.

The SaliStick test kit, developed by Israeli start-up Salignostics, delivers results in ten minutes.

Developers said the test - whose price is described as "competitive" but has not been confirmed yet - detects pregnancy on the first day of a missed period.
