Fans of traditional burgers look away now. A popular UK pub chain has launched a candy floss chicken burger as part of its funfair platter.
The unconventional burger with a unique twist consists of a chicken burger topped with a candy floss mountain. It is part of a platter that sweet-toothed fans will love.
Flaming Grill launched its ‘All the Flamin' fun of the Fair' platter packed with treats galore and loaded with sweets, sherbet and cream-filled doughnuts - all the good stuff you'd usually find at a funfair. It is a playful menu that evokes memories of fabulous evenings enjoyed at the funfair.
You need to be hungry if you are keen to dive in and finish off this giant dish which is a sharing platter for two. The sharer ‘All the Flamin' fun of the Fair’ includes two signature smoked chicken burgers skewered with candy floss, four boneless chicken wings coated in sour cherry cola sauce, popcorn, onion rings, two cream-filled doughnuts topped with chocolate flavour sauce, fries, a Dip Dab sherbet dip and sour cherry cola sauce.
The price of this platter starts from £16.49 for two people, although prices may vary per pub. Flaming Grill which is known for its flame-grilled food and sizzling skillets, introduced the sharer to its 145 pubs nationwide this week to make its new menu "stand out from the crowd".
For those who prefer something a little more traditional, hang fire because the new menu also showcases dishes with a spicy twist. New menu items include Cajun spiced chicken, spicy flattened steak skewers and Jamaican chicken.
The Jamaican chicken dish was created by Datties Soul Food Academy (DSFA), a Caribbean caterer based in Staffordshire. Monica Holton, founder of DSFA worked tirelessly alongside Greene King on the execution of the dish and special seasoning for the chicken which is a mixture of the Seasoned Original and Seasoned Curried Blend.
