World leading £1bn cancer research "village" in south London wins planning green light

Work on creating a world leading £1 billion cancer research “village” in south London will start later this year after plans were given the go ahead by a local authority last night.

Planning chiefs at Sutton council finally gave the green light on World Cancer Day to a proposal for what has been described as a “Silicon Valley for cancer research” in the London suburb.
