The head of the World Health Organisation says the world needs to prepare for another virus even deadlier than Covid. The WHO says Covid has killed around 7million people so far - including 226,196 in the UK.
Director General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a meeting of the World Health Assembly in Geneva that the world needs to be ready for more deadly diseases in the future.
He said that while the world has come out of a “long, dark tunnel” after Covid, people cannot carry on as they did before the pandemic hit.
