The final of the PDC World Darts takes place at Alexandra Palace on Tuesday night, with Michael Smith facing Michael van Gerwen in a repeat of the 2019 final.
The form players of 2022 will meet in the final, with St Helens' Smith hoping to claim a first world title at the third attempt having lost last year's final to Peter Wright. Before that, he lost to van Gerwen back in 2019 and will be hoping that the same fate does not await him against the formidable Dutchman.
Smith, 32, beat Germany's Gabriel Clemens in his semi-final 6-2 to set up the clash with van Gerwen which will also see the victor claim the coveted World Number One status from Price.

Van Gerwen will be chasing a fourth world title having comfortably beaten Dimitri Van den Bergh in his semi-final 6-0 and has issued an ominous warning to Smith, saying that nobody will stop him winning the title. After his win he told Sky Sports: "He's not going to stop me - nobody is going to stop me!" Van Gerwen explained. "I feel too good for that. I feel comfortable, I feel good and I'm playing some good darts.
"It feels phenomenal to have played the game I played tonight [against Van den Bergh]. It means a lot to me, I gave it everything and I'm playing out of my skin at the moment. It costs so much energy, but I'm able to do it."
