Spain have qualified for the World Cup quarter-finals after beating Portugal (1-0). Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has played his final World Cup match.

All the host nations have been knocked out following the United States’ defeat by Belgium. In the Tour de France, Tadej Pogacar has already taken the lead. At Wimbledon, Arthur Féry’s remarkable run continues. The French basketball team have moved a step closer to qualifying for the 2027 World Cup by beating Finland.
