World Cup organisers Fifa on Sunday suspended the one-match for Folarin Balogun for his red card during the United States' 2-0 victory in the last 32 over Bosnia and Herzegovina on 1 July.

The decision to lift the punishment without rescinding the red car emerged the day before the US take on Belgium for a place in the quarter-finals.
