Morocco secured their passage to the quarter-finals with a 3-0 victory over Canada in Houston, with Selim Ounahi's double proving decisive. The Lions of the Atlas overcame a difficult first half to eventually overwhelm their North American hosts and progress as one of the tournament's standout sides.

Canada became the first of the co-hosts to exit the World Cup as a clinical Morocco won 3-0 to reach the quarter-finals on Saturday in Houston.
