The World Cup starts today with Qatar hosting the illustrious competition.
There are some notable absentees from this year's installation of the tournament as the likes of Italy, Norway and Egypt failed to secure their place. However, there are a number of football juggernauts who are looking to be tasting success on December 18 when the curtain closes.
Spain, England and Brazil are into double figures for the last time they last lifted the infamous trophy. Gareth Southgate has named his England squad, who have since been handed their numbers for the tournament, whilst Ivan Toney answered back to his omission with his brace - two of the names on everyone's lips were James Maddison and Callum Wilson after their impressive start to the campaign.

The Three Lions narrowly missed out on ending their wait for success on the international stage when they were beaten on penalties by Italy in the rescheduled 2020 European Championships. This time around, nations from around the world have entered with the likes of Argentina and Brazil among the favourites to score gold.
