The 2022 World Cup in Qatar reaches its climax this week as defending champions France seek to retain their title.
However, standing in their way are Argentina and perhaps the finest player to ever grace the game, Lionel Messi. Messi, who now plays his club football in France, is bidding to finally achieve the only honour that has eluded him in football - the World Cup.
If he's to finally do that, it seems likely that he also might win the Golden Boot for the tournament's top scorer in the process. Fittingly, the player that he is tied with as the leading scorer right now is France's talisman and Messi's PSG team-mate, Kylian Mbappe.
While the World Cup will be the main prize on offer, the Golden Boot provides a tasty little sub-plot to this weekend's action - with other players still in with a shot of coming out on top through either the third-place play-off between beaten semi-finalists Croatia and Morocco or the main event.
Here's what you need to know...
How is the Golden Boot decided?
As mentioned above, the Golden Boot is awarded every World Cup to the player who scores the most goals at the tournament.
If two or more players score the same number of goals, the number of assists shall be the deciding factor. If two or more players are still equal after taking into account the number of assists, the total minutes played in the tournament will be taken into account, with the player playing fewer minutes ranked first.
A Silver Boot and a Bronze Boot will also be awarded for the second and third-highest goalscorers respectively.
Who could win the Golden Boot and how many goals have they scored?
There are still a number of players still in the competition who could leave Qatar with the prestigious Golden Boot.

What is the record for most goals scored at a World Cup?
Mbappe and Messi may already have five goals to their name in Qatar, but it will take a monumental effort to break the record for most goals at a single tournament, with France's Just Fontaine scoring 13 goals in just six games at the 1958 tournament.
