World champion boxer Amy Broadhurst is celebrating again after purchasing her first home.
The Dundalk native has enjoyed an incredible year, winning gold medals at the European Championships and Commonwealth Games, as well as at the World Championships. She was also named the best boxer at the European Championships.
Earlier in the year, Broadhurst travelled to Connecticut to help Katie Taylor prepare for her historic fight with Amanda Serrano, with the undisputed lightweight champion describing the 25-year-old as a "phenomenal fighter".

Sharing pictures on social media after picking up the keys for her first house, a delighted Broadhurst wrote: "Officially a home owner. Beyond proud of myself!"
The fighter picked up a cheque for over €100,000 for winning gold at the World Championships back in May, but it took the International Boxing Association a number of months to pay out the money.
Speaking back in October, Broadhurst revealed she would put some of it towards buying a house.
She said: “I bought my first house with this prize money. To own a house at my age is a great achievement, and I’m very proud of this. I also will have a shopping spree, but other than that, the rest will go to my savings.”
