'Working from home is not good for staff or business', says Bristol boss

The return of workers to offices has caused much debate in recent weeks. Since the lifting of Covid restrictions in England in February, many people have been asked by their company to head back to the workplace.

There is no doubt the pandemic has changed ways of working, with large numbers of firms now offering a hybrid option - where staff split their time between the office and home - and others saying people can remain working from home full time.

But it remains a divisive topic. North East Somerset MP Jacob Rees-Mogg was recently slammed after he left controversial notes on the desks of civil servants in an effort to stop them working from home. The notes said: “Sorry you were out when I visited. I look forward to seeing you in the office very soon. With every good wish, Rt Hon Jacob Rees-Mogg MP.”
