DIY SOS star Nick Knowles has vowed to be more "hands on" with his eight-year-old son.
The dad-of-three has a busy life as he travels the world for work. The self-confessed workaholic has just got back from filming in Peru, and soon he’s off to Vietnam and Malaysia to do some more.
But the 60-year-old has been given a second chance at being a parent after feeling like he "didn't get it right" with his older two sons. Having a younger son has made him reassess his work-life balance.

Nick, who has three grown-up children from previous relationships, was 52 when he had Eddie, 8, with wife Jessica Moor - but they have since split.
Speaking to The Mirror, the DIY expert said: "It’s the most difficult thing in modern life to weigh up the amount you work to improve their lifestyles versus missing your children grow up. I’m not sure I got that right with my older children, I was probably away too much. So I’m making a greater effort now with my eight-year-old.
“Having said that, my older children are all doing great and are very happy. None of them want to go into TV, which is very sensible of them.”
Nick added: "Having an eight-year-old son at the age of 60 is the most wonderful thing in the world. It keeps you young, makes you see the world through new eyes.*
