Work starts transforming city's 'worst' fire station

Lake Macquarie Newcastle

Once called the "worst station in Newcastle" a Lake Macquarie fire station has been knocked down ready for a new building.

Work has begun on the Fire and Rescue Charlestown fire station with the site being demolished in late September.
