An information vaccum on steroid, peptide, and stimulant use among women in the fitness industry has created another gendered health gap.

Women's use of performance and image-enhancing drugs (PIEDs) carries a distinct set of risks to men, and yet little is known about their impact on female bodies, a University of Queensland study has found.
