This summer’s Euro 2022 in England will draw the biggest crowds ever seen at the Women’s European Championship.

There are just 100 days to go until the tournament kicks off and already ticket sales have smashed records.

Remaining tickets went on general sale this morning for the 31 matches being held at 10 stadiums from July 6-31.

UEFA say they have sold more than 300,000 of the 700,000 tickets available. The previous record of 240,045 tickets was for the last tournament, in Holland in 2017, and organisers have more attendance records in their sights.

England, managed by Sarina Wiegman, kick off the tournament against Austria at Old Trafford on July 6. The final will be at Wembley. Every England game is expected to sell out, while the final sold out in less than an hour.

The other venues staging matches will be Brentford, Brighton, Leigh (Leigh Sports Village), Manchester City’s Academy Stadium, Milton Keynes, Rotherham, Bramall Lane in Sheffield and Southampton.

The tournament was originally scheduled to take place last year but was moved back because of the pandemic.
