NEW DELHI: Boxers Nitu Ghanghas and Saweety Boora etched their names in history books on Saturday, becoming the world champions in their respective weight categories in the ongoing Women's World Boxing Championships in the national capital.
While the 22-year-old Nitu outclassed Mongolia's Lutsaikhan Altansetseg in the 48 kg final, registering a dominating 5-0 win, in the 81 kg category, Saweety won the gold via a split-verdict. In the final, Saweety registered a 4-3 win over China's Wang Lina.
