An annual call to action for gender equality is sounded on International Women's Day, encouraging countries across the world to improve the lives of women and girls. 

The 2025 theme for International Women's Day is March Forward, for all women and girls, and aims to celebrate the enormous strides towards gender equality while also acknowledging the work still ahead.
