Women in the workplace nearly three times as likely as men to be target of sexist jokes

Gender bias is still rife in UK workplaces – with women nearly three times as likely as men to be the target of sexist jokes, a study has found.

A poll of 2,000 British employees found that they hear gender biased language used in their workplace an average of four times a week.

Women are more than twice as likely to be asked to make a tea or coffee round for everyone in the office compared to men (42% versus 16%).
