A woman has sparked a debate on a popular online forum after asking if she should buy two dishwashers for her kitchen. On Mumsnet, the woman explained that she has a small kitchen and is deciding if it would be worth having two dishwashers - one to wash dishes and the other one to store her clean cutlery and dishes - instead of a cupboard.
This caused a huge debate on the post, with many users thinking it is a great idea and some saying that they could “never go back” to only having one dishwasher after investing in a second one.
On the 'am I being unreasonable thread', the woman asked if she would be unreasonable to buy two dishwashers. She said: "To consider two dishwashers instead of a cutlery drawer and plate cupboard? Not much thought has gone into this but why not have a dirty DW [dishwasher] and a clean one, then I wouldn't have to put cutlery away? Please talk me out of it before I do something stupid."

However, many Mumsnet users said that they could “never go back” to only having one. A commenter said: "We have two dishwashers and it works well. We’ve never got mixed with clean/dirty, you get used to it and just do it on autopilot. We also have two other appliances. It’s not stupid."
One user said: "I've got two. I'd never go back to just having one." Another added: "I have a friend who has two dishwashers. She is originally from the USA and said it's common there."
Other users thought it was a genius idea and have even considered it themselves. One woman said: "This is my life goal but I cannot get DH [dear husband] onboard with the idea. It makes so much sense to me. Do it!"
While one commenter said: "I’d have never even thought of having two but it makes sense." Another added: "A person after my own heart. I’ve always thought that this was a brilliant idea."
However, some users say it's not as great as people think. One commenter said: "I have two full sized washers in a busy family home. It isn't that great. This morning I came downstairs to two dishwashers half full of dirty stuff so had to sort it out and restack
"Some mornings I have two dishwashers to empty instead of one (a job I hate). Family members (including myself) go to cupboards and drawers for clean items rather than think about going in a dishwasher. It does mean I don't have plates waiting around for a wash but that's the only bonus really."
