Woman who 'looks eight years old' starts dating again after ex was labelled 'creep'

A woman who 'looks eight years old' has started dating again after her ex was labelled a 'creep' by online trolls. Reality TV star, Shauna Rae, appears to have moved from her former flame, Dan Swygart, after their recent split.

The 23-year-old , hasn't grown past the height of an average eight-year-old since she was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was a child. She thankfully overcame the disease but the treatment itself had a rather extreme side-effect, stopping her from growing at the speed a normal youngster her age would do.

The American, who lives in New York, now currently stands at just 3 foot 10 inches and weighs just 50lbs. The Daily Star reports that Shauna has risen to fame after starring on the TLC show, 'I am Shauna Rae'.

In the TV series, the 23-year-old documents her journey to finding love. Whilst on the show, she met Welshman Dan, with the pair quickly hitting it off.

The pair considered a "long distance relationship" and her parents even approved of their romance. However, due to her having a 'child-like' appearance the internet was quick to brand him a 'creep'.

Shauna Rae has moved on from her Welsh sweetheart in her search for love on TLC (TLC)

Despite the relationship faltering, Shauna is continuing her search for love as in the latest episode of the show she revealed that she had "never been" on a blind date. She added that she had "a bunch of worries" about it before meeting the mystery man.

Shauna said: "I was relieved when he cancelled. It just kind of showed all of these characteristics I don't want in a person in my life.

"Even though it was supposed to be a date, I probably enjoyed it better this way with my family then I would with a complete stranger."

When asked if she would be continuing her search for a relationship, she said: "I'm still open."

It's not entirely clear what happened between Shauna and Dan, but he has been quick to defend himself in the past over their relationship after viewers criticised him. He said: "Me and Shauna are still just really good friends getting to know each other, but I think it’s absolutely disgusting, the attitude of some people.

"How dare you take away her right, her human right, to have a connection, a friendship, a relationship with someone else? Who are you to say that she can’t have that?"
