Woman who claims to be Madeleine McCann 'finally has a family who cares' after trip to US

A Polish woman, who claims to be missing British child Madeleine McCann, "finally has a family who cares" after a trip to America, it has been reported.

Julia Wendell went viral in recent weeks following her claims and she was flown across the pond by a spokesperson and psychic medium Fia Johansson.

The 21-year-old made the journey last week and is now living in a safehouse in America, writes the Daily Record.

Johansson has claimed that Julia was being targeted by a large number of death threats, it was even suggested that a bounty was put on her head.

Madeleine disappeared aged just three in Portugal during a family holiday in 2007 and Julia previously amassed over a million Instagram followers after posting "evidence" that she was the missing girl.

Dr Fia Johansson, a private detective and self-professed medium who is investigating the Polish woman's claims, is the one looking after Julia and has shared frequent updates on social media.

On Tuesday, March 14, she said that Julia revealed she feels like now is "the first time she has a family that cares".

An image on posted on Instagram had the caption: "She said this is the first time she feels she has a family that cares. My kids and my dogs love her angelic personality."

Dr Johansson had earlier shared pictures of Julia enjoying the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Universal Studios. She added that the young woman thinks people in the US are "lovely and welcoming".

She previously claimed that Julia's parents were refusing to take a DNA test but the family in Poland have denied her claims. They have also blocked the 21-year-old's phone number.

Dr Johansson and her team have been in Wroclaw (the city Julia supposedly grew up in) where she said they found no hospital records for Julia relating to the first five years of her life.

The investigator is adamant Julia is not who her family says she is.

She told RadarOnline: "We are still conducting an investigation but Julia is definitely not the biological daughter of her parents in Poland.

"We have a lot of evidence right now that shows Julia was definitely trafficked to Poland from another country by an international sex trafficking group."
